Skills
- Criteria for Airfreight Coordinator/Manager:
- Experience in freight forwarding at least 1-3 years;
- Knowledge of Customer Service and sales;
- Computer literate;
- Good working knowledge of both written and oral English language;
- Able to handle multiple tasks, high communication skills, decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Functional duties:
- Handle the movement of import, export and transit air freight shipments
- Prepare quotations for air freight movements of cargo
- Make Follow Ups / Send Updates
- Hold regular meetings with airlines, handling agents and other vendors
- Liaise with vendors on the best possible conditions of air cargo carriage
- Collect prices for required services
- Maintain paperwork in proper order
- Coordinate the carriage of air cargo with brokers, hauliers, airport authorities, airlines and any other vendors
- Coordinate the carriage of air cargo with other internal departments and branches
- Collect and submit for payment vendors invoices
- Issue the required documentation
- Make other reports as requested
- Expand air freight activities within local market in UAE and promote air freight forwarding product in the market
- Build up and maintain effective relationships with customers
